Production Process
Tianlong’s production process is designed to guarantee safety, repeatable quality and efficient large-scale manufacturing. From raw material inspection to final leak testing and export packing, every stage uses documented procedures, inline quality checkpoints and traceable batch records. The result is cylinders that meet customer specifications and market compliance requirements.
Raw Material Inspection
All incoming steel plates and components are inspected before entering production. Incoming inspection includes material certificates review, dimensional checks, and non-destructive testing (NDT) sampling as required. Only batches that pass acceptance criteria proceed to forming. Material traceability is recorded for each production lot.
QC Checkpoints: raw material certificates, chemical composition, thickness tolerance, visual defects.

02
Blanking & Deep Drawing
Steel plates are blanked to nominal dimensions and processed on hydraulic deep-drawing machines to form cylinder halves. Dies and tooling are maintained to tight tolerances to ensure concentricity and consistent wall thickness.
QC Checkpoints: blank diameter, wall thickness, form accuracy.
Trimming & Beading
Formed cylinder halves are trimmed and beaded to prepare mating edges for welding. Correct edge geometry is critical to enable consistent circumferential welding and to avoid defects at the seam.
QC Checkpoints: bead dimensions, edge smoothness, fit-up tolerance.
03

04
Circumferential Seam Welding
Cylinder body halves are seam-welded using automated circumferential welding equipment (rotary or seam welding machines). Parameters are controlled and logged for each weld. Post-weld visual and dimensional checks are performed before further processing.
QC Checkpoints: weld profile, penetration, non-destructive testing sampling.
Annealing / Stress Relief Treatment
After welding, selected cylinder batches undergo annealing or stress-relief to reduce welding-induced residual stresses and to restore material ductility. The thermal profile is controlled and documented to meet metallurgical requirements.
QC Checkpoints: annealing temperature/time records, hardness sampling, metallurgical inspection when required.
05

06
Shot Blasting & Surface Preparation
Cylinder bodies are shot-blasted to remove scale and to create a uniform surface profile for coating adhesion. This step improves paint/powder bonding and prepares the surface for final finishing.
QC Checkpoints: surface cleanliness class, blast profile, visual inspection.
Painting, Coating & Labeling
Surface coating (wet paint or powder coating) is applied according to customer specifications and curing schedules. After coating, cylinders are labeled, embossed or marked with capacity, serial numbers, and required compliance marks. Custom colors and private-label packaging are supported for OEM orders.
QC Checkpoints: coating thickness, adhesion test, visual finish, labeling accuracy.
07

08
Valve Fitting & Assembly
Valves and fittings are assembled and torqued to specified values. Valve seats, seals and connectors are checked for correct seating and leak-proof assembly. Regional valve types (threaded / yoke / DIN variants) are fitted per customer requirements.
QC Checkpoints: valve torque, seat leak checks, part traceability.
Hydrostatic & Leak Testing
Finished cylinders undergo hydrostatic testing, leak detection and dimensional verification according to established acceptance criteria. Test records are logged and linked to batch or serial numbers to ensure traceability.
QC Checkpoints: hydrostatic pressure hold, leak detection pass, final dimensional check, batch records.

10
Packing, Palletizing & Export Preparation
Passed cylinders are palletized, shrink-wrapped or crated per export packing plans. We prepare shipping documentation (packing list, commercial invoice, test certificates, MSDS) and coordinate container stuffing to ensure safe transit.
QC Checkpoints: packing checklist, weight/dimension verification, documentation completeness.
How are quality records traced?
We maintain batch-level QA logs and serial/barcode traceability linking material certificates, test records, and final inspection reports.
Can you run small trial batches?
Yes — pilot/sample runs are available. Contact our sales team with your specifications and destination.
What tests are included before export?
Typical pre-shipment tests include hydrostatic testing, leak detection, dimensional checks and visual inspection. Additional third-party or market-specific tests can be arranged.
